1. Overview

BayWonder Order Tracking ("the App", "we", "us") is a Shopify app that tracks promotional clicks and the resulting orders, so that merchants can attribute sales to marketing channels. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how it can be deleted in accordance with GDPR, CCPA and Shopify's App Privacy requirements.

2. Data We Collect

a) Store & Product Data

Store domain
Product catalogue: titles, prices, images, descriptions, variants, collections, tags, and store pages (public information, not personal data)

b) Click & Tracking Data

Click ID, landing page, source channel, timestamp
IP address, user agent, and referrer URL (used for attribution, stored temporarily)

c) Conversion & Order Data

Order ID, order amount, currency, status
We do not collect or store customer personal identity information (such as name, email, phone or address). Attribution is performed using anonymized click and order identifiers only.

Note on product data: Product catalogue data is public business information, not personal data under GDPR. We retain it to provide attribution and reporting services and do not delete it in response to an individual customer's data request — only on full store uninstall.

3. Why We Collect It

Attribute orders to the correct marketing channel
Provide merchants with tracking reports
Maintain click-attribution accuracy

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use any customer information for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Click & attribution data: retained for the attribution window and a short period thereafter
Order data: retained until the merchant uninstalls the App or requests deletion

5. Data Deletion

Shop uninstalls the App:
Upon uninstall, via the Shopify shop/redact webhook, we erase all personal data (IP addresses, user agents, referrer URLs) and delete store data such as products, collections, tags, pages, and sessions. Aggregate, anonymized click and conversion statistics are retained for attribution and reporting purposes and contain no personal data.

Customer data requests:
We honor Shopify's customers/redact and customers/data_request webhooks. As we do not store customer personal identity information, there is no such data to erase or export; we simply acknowledge and respond to Shopify's requests accordingly.

If you are a customer and Shopify's automated process is unavailable, you may also request data deletion directly by emailing service@baywonder.ai with your shop domain and order ID. We will process valid requests within 30 days.
